The Vision

“Three of a Kind” is a minimalist and rhythmic exploration of fundamental geometric harmony. By isolating a sphere, a triangle, and a cube against a highly textured, energetic background, Efosa Augustine Uwadia created a visual hierarchy of form and movement. This three-dimensional piece serves as a sophisticated focal point, designed to bring a sense of structured balance and vibrant energy.

Artistic Details

• The Aesthetic: Set against a vibrant red background, the composition is defined by vertical, expressive streaks of yellow, green, and black impasto paint. At the centre, three distinct geometric shapes are stacked vertically: a golden sphere at the top, a metallic silver triangle in the middle, and a bright green cube at the base.
• 3D Depth: Utilising the signature mixed technique of inlay-wood sculpture and painting, each geometric element is physically raised from the base. This creates a tangible landscape where the smooth surfaces of the wood cast delicate shadows against the raw, vertical texture of the painted background.
• Craftsmanship: Every individual component is handcrafted from recycled offcuts wood, meticulously sanded to a smooth finish to highlight its specific metallic or gloss texture. The alignment of these primary forms represents a laborious and time-consuming task to achieve perfect vertical symmetry.
