Description
The Vision
“Elements of Nature” is a vibrant, geometric exploration of the fundamental forces that shape our world. By distilling the complexity of nature into a series of primary shapes and bold colours, Efosa Augustine Uwadia created a sense of universal balance and organic rhythm. This three-dimensional piece serves as a lively focal point, designed to bring a fresh, grounded energy to any modern living space, office, or creative environment.
Artistic Details
- The Aesthetic: Set against a deep, moss-green background, the composition features a central cluster of four curved shapes surrounded by a radiant constellation of twelve colourful triangles. The palette includes earthy ochres, vibrant reds, deep violets, and sky blues, creating a high-contrast visual language that feels both ancient and contemporary.
- 3D Depth: Utilising the signature mixed technique of inlay-wood sculpture and painting, each geometric element is physically raised from the base. This creates a tangible landscape of forms that cast delicate shadows, giving the impression of an elemental map or a compass pointing toward the natural world.
- Craftsmanship: Every individual component is handcrafted from recycled offcuts wood, meticulously sanded to a smooth finish to highlight the wood’s natural integrity. The precision of the placement reflects the laborious and time-consuming task of achieving perfect geometric symmetry.
