The Creative Vision Behind the Work
Efosa Augustine Uwadiae is the artist behind EFOS-KI Divine Artworks, working exclusively with reclaimed furniture wood to create original sculptural 3D wall art. His practice is grounded in material understanding, structural composition, and a disciplined approach to craftsmanship developed through years of hands-on artistic work.
Each artwork is constructed through layered wood relief and refined with acrylic painting to introduce depth, texture, and architectural presence. Rooted in the wood carving heritage of Benin City and shaped by contemporary practice, the work focuses on form, material integrity, and sustainability, creating sculptural wall pieces designed to live naturally within modern interiors and professional spaces.

Originally from Edo, Benin City, Nigeria-a region historically renowned for its mastery of wood and bronze sculpture-Uwadiae's work continues this tradition with a contemporary, sustainable focus. Since establishing his full-time practice in Thessaloniki, Greece 2009 he has developed a signature mixed-media technique involving inlay, wood sculpture, and acrylic painting that transforms salvaged material into dynamic, textural compositions. Uwadiae's work has been exhibited internationally, including in Greece, UK, and shows at ARTEXPO Paris (2024) and New York (2025), exploring themes of sustainability, nature and vitality of form.
Efosa Augustine Uwadiae's art is a testament to sustainable innovation, turning discarded wood remnants from furniture companies into sophisticated works of art. His practice is defined by a unique synthesis of traditional woodworking and contemporary painting, resulting in distinct visual and tactile experience.
Born in Edo, Benin City, Nigeria, a cultural centre famous for its artistic heritage, including revered wood and clay sculpture and bronze casting, Uwadiae carries this lineage into his modern work. His chosen medium, wood, directly links his contemporary practice back to this profound history. This meticulous approach ensures that each work is entirely unique and possesses a dynamic energy where the interaction of light and shadow with the lively colours creates a truly captivating presence.
