“Inspiration” is a minimalist and focused exploration of a singular, ascending idea. By placing a slender, vertical form at the centre of a powerful red expanse, Efosa Augustine Uwadiae captures the spark of a creative breakthrough. This three-dimensional piece serves as a visual catalyst for thought, designed to bring a sense of clarity and upward momentum.

Artistic Details

• The Aesthetic: A needle-like wooden form pierces through three horizontal, multi-coloured blocks, gold, magenta, and dark blue—set against a rich red background.
• Symbolism: Each block is accented with circular indentations, adding a technical, almost instrument-like precision to the abstract design.
• 3D Depth: Utilising a signature mixed technique of inlay-wood sculpture and painting, the central “needle” and its supporting blocks are physically raised from the chipboard. The sharp, vertical line creates a striking sense of elevation and depth.
• Craftsmanship: Every component is handcrafted from recycled offcuts wood, meticulously sanded to a smooth, fine finish. The contrast between the slender vertical element and the robust blocks highlights the laborious and time-consuming task of achieving perfect structural balance.
